Sunday, we are off to the Architectural River Cruise at 10:00 am. Fabulous! Chicago has revived the river over the last 20 years and it shows. Now everyone who is anyone wants a condo facing the river and Donald Trump has just put up a big new skyscraper next to the river at Michigan Avenue. The buildings in Chicago are a treat to behold and the docent on our river tour knew a lot about them. A morning well-spent. Then, we were off to a tour of the Miracle Mile along Michigan Avenue. We had a splendid lunch at the International Hotel. We had the dining room to ourselves and the chef (apparently bored with his inactivity) lavished a wonderful enchilada preparation on us. Delicious.
Tomorrow, we embark on the Mother Road.
