September 27, Saturday--Chicago

Saturday morning, we are off to the Art Institute. It is a FREE day and therefore quite crowded. We finally find the Impressionist exhibit only to discover that most of the collection is in storage while the gallery is getting a makeover. Rats! After a hour or so, we have lunch in the nice Museum Café and head across Michigan Avenue to the Architecture Institute. We just missed a tour of the Art-Deco buildings in Chicago. Rats, again! We hike the mile and a half back to the room and relax. Then, we found a California Pizza Kitchen for dinner
